Samarpan Basu Memorial Trust is established in January, 2008. The word “Samarpan” has its own meaning---is a registered voluntary organization for the children in its own inimitable way. The trust focuses on different services to ameliorate the sufferings of the needy or ailing. It is run by a board of trustees.

Mission:

To improve the lives of deprived children and generate healthy atmosphere in the society.

Activities:

  • Health camp for children.
  • Distribution of awards for best performers in I.S.C. and other fields.
  • Scholarships to meritorious Madhyamik students.
  • Seminar on stress, environment & erosion of humanity.
  • Awareness programme on various topical & timeless issues.
  • Provide grants, aids and relief etc. to underprivileged, differently abled children and children affected with natural calamities.

Vision:

  • To provide a practical response to the needs of deprived children.
  • To enable the children to become independent through education and to have the potential a blend into mainstream society. We have a plan to start a child care center(day) to provide education to financially backward/underprivileged children to make them self-sufficient and economically independent. They will be taught to respect the traditions, culture of our country and the fundamental principles of human life, which contributes to building their character.
  • Scholarships for financially backward students for higher studies.
  • Charitable clinic for children.
  • A library of books for financially backward students.
  • Produce communication materials like books, films, documentaries, posters, audio visual etc.
